The learned academics may keenly argue that their paramount contribution is overturning a general assumption that the adivasis are only interested in livelihood issues and cannot get politicized. (See: Saroj Giri, The Ongoing Political Struggle in India, Monthly Review, November 2009) Here, the distinguished academics can be gently reminded that when the politics of a socio-political movement is fundamentally wrong, everything goes wrong. Instead of leading the adivasis towards socio-political freedom they have pushed then into a far greater danger. Their future is getting devastated almost beyond redemption by the politics of gun championed by the Maoists. They are not really ‘fighters for justice’ but merely another ‘power structure’ within the system. Therefore it will be a systemic blunder to glorify them as ‘revolutionaries’. Then there are sports that are based solely on violence. Boxing and Mixed Martial Arts, both generate billions in revenue each year! They employ thousands of people and yes the sole purpose of each, is to inflict punishment on their opponent.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship has become a household name. Its MMA fighters are given rock star like treatment. As for boxing, names like Mike Tyson, Oscar Del Hoya and Muhammad Alli, are as popular as Coke and Pepsi.

If you have to, pack your belongings into your car in the middle of the night and just drive and keep driving until you are safe! If you’re at a family gathering and one of them causes you grief, just leave! Take a big old breath, get up off your chair and walk… no run right out of there. This method has always worked for me! Within minutes I was able to breathe and know within myself that I was strong and able to achieve peace by just leaving. Even though I was by myself at least I now had serenity.. Now say to yourself, “I forgive you for being a _________ because you grew up like that or because you we’re like that in a previous life or whatever.” (Basically you acknowledge that they are screw balls and that you accept that imperfection but vow to never be around that person or anybody like them ever again!) Yea! You realize that life is too short to hang out with those idiots and that you love yourself too much to put yourself through that agony again in the future.. People that are losers like to be around other losers! If you don’t want to also be a loser then you will try to be around winners and seek to stay away from the relatives/spouses ect that are losers as well. Let’s take my dad and brother for instance. If I say to myself, “Would I make an effort to have a relationship with this person if they were not related to me?” In this case the answer is no! Therefore I have absolutely no reason to have any contact with these people ever again! Yea! Now I am free! You too can be free! Take it from me! Just because someone has some of the same genes as you do, does not mean that you are forever required to talk to them, send Christmas presents to them or visit them.. Now think about all the people that have no relatives or spouses at all and are self made, perfectly happy folks. They don’t need back up resources from relatives or spouses. They are strong enough to stand all on their own. In order for you to do the same you will have to be strong… on all levels… mental, physical, spiritual and emotional. Despite the advances of our society and the changing view we take of women’s rights, abuse continues to be a huge problem in this country. In 2006, there were over 230,000 reported cases of rape or sexual assault against women. While we have certainly made great strides towards a more equitable, just society for everyone, we still have a long way to go before we can say we have truly overcome our violent past. Enter the Violence Against Women Act.. The Violence Against Women Act (VAMA) was signed into law by President Clinton in 1994 as a means of better fighting violence and abuse against women. The bill was written by then-Senator Joe Biden (D-DE) and Rep. Pat Schroeder (D-CO). It established new penalties and punishments for abuse against women, as well as setting more specific definitions of domestic violence and violence against women.. When it was passed, the VAMA provided $1.6 billion to combat abuse against women by expanding and enhancing the ability of law enforcement to investigate charges of domestic and other forms of abuse against women, as well as the ability of the state to prosecute people suspected of committing abuse. Additionally, the bill expanded the power of the police to hold suspects prior to trial, and increased the restitution expected after conviction..   in recent years has had many of the arguments proposed by those who are not in favor of video games or computer games, or have concerns about time spent playing these games, and the nature of the images and scenes that I watched them play. A common argument is that the computer and video games through the graphic nature of violence human nature and terror, the children of desensitization to violence human nature and terror in the real world.
